World Scout Jamboree 2027

About World Scout Jamboree

I’m really excited to have been selected to represent Kent Scouts at the 2027 World Scout Jamboree in Poland — a once-in-a-lifetime adventure where over 50,000 Scouts from all over the world come together to learn new skills, share cultures, and make friends that could last forever. Being chosen is such an amazing opportunity, but to take part I need to raise £3,600 to cover travel, training camps, and the Jamboree itself. I’ve been part of Bearsted Scout Group since I was six, starting in Beavers, moving through Cubs, then Scouts, and now I’m part of Phoenix Explorers based at Bearsted. For over a year and a half, I’ve also volunteered as a Young Leader with Bearsted Beavers, attending once a week for over an hour, plus helping out at events and camps that often take up my whole weekend. Balancing school, my own Explorer commitments, and volunteering can be challenging, but it’s taught me responsibility, planning, and how rewarding it is to help younger Scouts enjoy the same experiences I’ve had. At the World Scout Jamboree, I’ll take part in exciting activities like hiking, team challenges, and adventure sports, as well as workshops where I’ll learn new skills and meet Scouts from all over the world. I’ll also be visiting Gdańsk, exploring the city’s culture, landmarks, and history, which will give me an amazing opportunity to experience life outside the camp and learn more about Poland. There will be campfires, international events, and cultural exchanges that teach leadership, teamwork, and friendship across borders — it’s a chance to represent Kent Scouts and be part of something really special on a global scale.
